Helping Others

Toys for Thailand

In keeping with one of our key values, “Help Others”, PGMi actively supports Toys for Thailand (T4T), a 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to delivering educational resources to residential Hill Tribe schools in Mae Hong Son Province in northwest Thailand. Paul Marshall has served as an active member on T4T’s Board of Directors since 2012, spearheading fund raising efforts and sponsoring dozens of projects supporting Mae Hong Son’s poorest schools.

These schools are all severely underfunded by the government due to limited resources and bureaucracy and are in great need of educational materials for their students. 100% of donations go directly to buying supplies and other necessities for these schools and their students.  T4T staff are all volunteers and pay for their own travel and other personal expenses.  As a 501(c)(3) charity, all contributions are also tax deductible.

Access to an education is one of the only opportunities these young children have to end the cycle of poverty and attain a better quality of life. PGMi believes that education is the great equalizer and that these resources are at the foundation of a strong education system.  More information can be found on the Toys for Thailand website at http://toysforthailand.org.

Youth Sports

PGMi also supports youth sports in Mae Hong Son province through its sponsorship of the Hongsonsuksa High School football team (https://www.facebook.com/Hongsonsuksafc).  In 2020, PGMi contributions helped to purchase kits, sports equipment, and sports medical supplies for the school’s U-18, U-16, and U-14 boys teams.  PGMi was also the team’s primary shirt sponsor for the 2020 season.

Hongsonsuksa completed a successful season in 2020 highlighted by their U-16 side’s championship in the Prime Minister’s Cup tournament, while the U-18 and U-14 sides both finished as runner up.
